Good move. They're ESTIMATES. AND they are a prime illustration of The Effect Of Motivation On Perception.

Re: it's a male thing

I don't think so.......

Meria Heller meria.net reported today that based on various eye-witness reports the totals were 500,000 in Washington and 200,000 in San Francisco.

So, as usual, I'm taking a very conservative approach to total crowd size.

The only thing that we of the antiwar movement know for sure is that the media whores are consistently underreporting our numbers by at least 50%. Indeed, it happened to me here in Bend, OR on October 26. While the local paper reported around 100 people attended our rally, I had two independent counters tally up 321 and 354 individuals. So, we're used to having the media whores lying about our numbers along with most everything else.

We do get a little bit exercised about the constant deception that is the media fog of propaganda that we're forced to live with as a nation of sheep.
