like America is the WORST country in the world
You certainly would think so, wouldn't you? It amazes me. Ray posts his paranoid fantasies about the death of civil liberties in America- -on a public forum. Every post is a criticism of the President. And he suffers no consequences.

It never seems to occur to him there is a dissonance there.

He and others rant about the imperialist designs of a country that has no colonies. (Almost none; there are a few small possessions that I'm sure one of these nuts will claim is a colony unless I put in a small disclaimer.)

They rant about the warmongering designs of a nation that could defeat and occupy any other nation on earth if it wished. And doesn't.

You really have to wonder about some of these people, yes.

What do you think a modern day Candide and Pangloss would think were they to travel today's world? Would they share your thinking? I think not. What would this dynamic dual think about America? For that matter, what would Jesus think? Or Buddah?

Foxlette, why didn't Saddam use his weapons of mass destruction against Bush's dad?

Sherry,

Re: I am struck, shocked, by the numbers of America haters

That is a deceit. None of us hate America. We hate the current illegitimate Administration. It's quite disappointing to have you come around and start in with a regurgitation of the propaganda and disinformation of the hate radio crowd. Can't you do better?

-Ray

Well, since I left here Friday, there have been more than 1,000 posts and what struck me the most as I skimmed through them was the high percentage of posts by those on the Pro –“let’s go in there and remove Saddam by force” side that included some form of name-calling. By contrast, almost none of the posts by those who oppose removing Saddam by force used such tactics. Name-calling is the ploy used by those that don’t have anything of real substance to say and feel the need to “hehehehe” a la Beavis and Butthead with their buddies as if that somehow validates their point of view. It doesn’t. You’ve got a lot of nerve labeling people as “America haters” just because they oppose the administration’s policies with regard to Iraq et al. This country was built on protest! Why don’t you give a little thought to where we’d be if we all just saluted and rolled over ?

You're not to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who does it or says it.
