<< We are at war and our enemies are clearly against military action in iraq so if we find a few of them at a rally, we need to be diligent, no?? >>

Thanks. You saved me from having to answer. I agree with you.

To deny protest is wrong. To harass the participants, or deny them their rights, is wrong. But, to look the other way, when possible members or supporters of Al Qaeda, are attempting to cause further harm to America, is, as you say.... we need to be diligent.

The stakes are very high, no?

I am assuming Bob meant taking notes and pictures of some of the questionable speakers. There is nothing wrong in that is there?

Absolutely. There is everything wrong. You may recall he referred to the FBI/CIA doing it. The only point in their doing so is to build files and that's about as Hooverish as it gets. I gather you and Bob think they are looking for "terrorists." Please, any self respecting "terrorist" is going to be about as far from these demonstrations as possible.

We are at war and our enemies are clearly against military action in ira

You are assuming too much. "They" may, in fact, think the war will be a huge mistake for American interests in the Middle East. Come to think of it, aren't many of the protesters saying exactly that?
