Speaking of the dangers of combining floorless convertibles with biotechs that change their names:

I'd lost track of them after their name-change from Microcide. It's amazing to see that they now intend to issue 80 million new common shares (on top of the 18 million now outstanding) to get rid of their converts. Looks like the existing common holders are balking at doing this, although the alternative is almost certainly worse.

<<Looks like good results for ALT.>>

Yes, It seems it should help it to get over its November 1st H, although the market appears now inclined to disregard good news.

BSX also announced pretty good news today. It has doubled since its low in January last year in spite of the general market and has had a good % gain since my previous comments on this thread on the results of its TAXUS II trial.

>>ALT has the potential to be a 50-bagger (or even more) from these levels.<<

ALT is halfway there from when you posted the above (will now be a 25-bagger)! <g>

Here is another optimistic view:

Does anyone think that ALT-711 will take full 4 years to run PIII, submit NDA and launch (if PII data supports doing so)?
