Tenchusatsu, re:two pilots I don't have a good feel. I have only heard the tape once months ago. I would have to say Schmidt made an error in judgement and four people paid with it with their lives. 64 years is a bit much for involuntary manslaughter. Was any punishment dished out when the USS Vincennes shot down the Iranian airliner Iran Air Flight 655 July 3, 1988? The video from the bridge of the Vincennes during the incident will turn your stomach. home.sprynet.com War is hell and these things happen. Move on and compensate the victims. Steve, is it just me, or are these two pilots being set up as sacrificial lambs just to calm the Canucks? General Says U.S. Pilots 'Reckless' in Bombing story.news.yahoo.com; Its "just you"......have you listened to the tapes of the exchange between the pilots and the base? Did you hear the base tell the pilots that it was friendly fire and not to fire but they did so anyway? Have you read that they had taken dexidrene 5 days straight to stay awake which is quite common in the military? Do you understand that as a result of their actions innocent people were killed? What would you have the courts do......give them a bonus for bringing their planes back intact? Not everything narrows down to an issue between liberals and conservatives. Four men are dead because of the bad judgment of two others. Had they listened to the base directions that day, those 4 men would be alive today. ted
