I believe Ms Ivins allowed that a humanitarian case against Hussein could be easily made...

Ah, but she doesn't make it. Instead she sets out the "just war" high bar and says, no go, leave the Iraqis to suffer. She never said a word about the campaign against Milosevic being a "just war" (it didn't meet the test either). Why not, hm?
