How would I explain these things? Poor diets, lack of exercise, homes that are more air tight to save on heating and cooling but which can keep mold, radon, pet dander, dust ect. inside in the air, better diagnosis...

As adult pressures increase so do those of children.

Children's lives have definitly become more stable. Also while adults don't really work more hours more of them work. You have more two income familes also trying to take care of the kids or go see them at the school play or run them to a soccer game or whatever. In the past the kids's activites where less structured (causeing less stress on the kids and the parents) and it was more likely that one parent (usually the mom) would stay at home.

Another reason for more of some ailments, particuarly cancer and heart disease is that we live longer now. We don't die of other things before we get these problems.
