this is at least one example of an argument for treating unborn children that are the result of rape differently then other fetuses

I follow that argument. And I follow Neo's argument for treating rape differently. They're both pragmatic and sensible. What I'm having trouble with is finding them compatible with the principle that a fetus is a person with rights. I don't see how the slave argument obviates the personhood of the fetus. Or trumps it, for that matter, except as a political expedient.
