OOPs, I better post on topic Q stuff:

Fully Loaded CDMA2000 Wireless Handset

23rd January 2003

Verizon Wireless and LG Mobile Phones announce the availability of the new VX4400 handset. The VX4400 combines the technical innovation, style and advanced features of an LG mobile phone with the superior performance and capabilities of Verizon Wireless' nationwide network and Get It Now(SM) service.

Color is key with the VX4400, which offers a wireless fireworks show with its 65K-STN color internal LCD display, brilliant blue backlit keypad and LG's signature color-personalized caller ID with up to 10 different colors -- users can choose red for a spouse, blue for friends and green for co-workers.

Created to combine business and pleasure, the VX4400 supports Get It Now from Verizon Wireless, which lets consumers download entertainment, games and business applications over the air anytime. The new handset will soon be available on the Express Network(SM), Verizon Wireless' high-speed wireless data network service that offers speeds between 40 to 60 kilobits per second (kbps) and bursts of up to 144 kbps -- similar to or better than a home dial- up PC connection. A mobile connectivity kit is required for use with a laptop.

The new LG VX4400 is a sleek, lightweight personal communication system with added features for the person on the go! With Get It Now Service, you can download popular ring tones, share digital images, play your favorite games, and find the best restaurants in town. You can also personalize your VX4400 with a choice of 8 Wallpaper Backgrounds, 7 Backlight Colors, and many more! Get what you want when you want. Get It Now!

cfoe- Re- "qcom mentioned positively at 5:10a" By our friends at CNBC? Which one said they were accused of promoting QCOM in late '99? Can anyone remember any specifics regarding that statement? Most all tech stocks were going up in late '99 and they all were getting a lot of attention from CNBC. But, all I remember is the constant skepticism with the backgound noise of QUALCOMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

cfoe, just getting up a 5am?? I will note at 3:45AM (PST) to 4:15 CNBC said nada regarding Qualcomm, mentioning NOK on several occassions with the ticker news below reportion NOK also.

Anyone know how infrastructure royalties are accrued?

Motorola commented that much of the infrastructure for the China Unicom 1x contract had been shipped during the 4th quarter. I didnt listen to Lucent's call, but it seems like they had a pretty good quarter driven by their mobile systems division.

Does Qualcomm try and estimate infrastructure royalties (like they do handsets) or do they accrue them as they are actually reported? If the latter, I would assume that we could see some impact from increased infrastructure royalties during the next quarter.
