Evolution would probably show us a percentage of our population has always been gay. We certainly know that from recorded history. This tends to undermine your point. There is probably an evolutionary advantage to having a percentage of the population be inclined to other interests.

it's evolution.....
Anyone who does not reproduce can still pass on their genes in equal proportion by helping 2 siblings or 4 cousins. Humans can also pass on information through arts and literature. It's evolution.
