Mike,

This is a stupid discussion. The liberals on this thread have their minds made up. The conservatives on this thread have their minds made up.

If 10 million died of smallpox - some site will find some bizarre way to blame the US for introducing it to make the Iraqi's look bad. One of our regulars will post it and say - look at how evil our administration is and a whole new conspiracy industry will be born.

For all we know 'Gulf War Syndrome', which Clintons administration denied existed was caused by exposure to bio or chemical agents no one wanted to admit the Iraqi's had (because it would have forced action).

On the other hand - if we go in and find - nothing - we both know that fact won't see the light of day.

My point is - we should go in anyway. WMD is a smokescreen - the best hope for the middle east is not more Iran's (pull back and let revolution happen). Its also not continuing to support repressive dictatorships in Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

Its this little old thing called Democracy.

Thats why its ok for the Brits, French and now even the Russians to have nukes. Democracies don't attack each other (ok maybe the French will attack the Napa Valley - and for our NZ friends - get a deterent).
