We need to disarm ourselves of the hypocrisy that the U.S. practices in the Middle East. IMO, it is NOT surprising that we are now the target of an increasing level of terrorism. Al Qaeda and others are shooting (and killing) some of our troops over in places like Kuwait...We are getting ready to send tens of thousands of additional troops into an area where we are not welcome. I am NOT against military action BUT I feel it should be used as THE LAST RESORT. Most of the folks making our country's key foreign policy decisions (eg. Bush, Cheney, Rice, Wolfowitz, and Perle) have never really spent time out in the trenches and fought in a major war. That clearly helps explain some things. War heroes like Senator Hagel (R), John Kerry (D), and Colonel David Hackworth are much more cautious and want strong UN backing and widespread support before we go into Iraq...Who would you trust with your sons and daughters...?
