by controlling longbond yields, they are attempting to prevent the real estate recession which would have huge economic implications, BUT THEY RISK A DOLLAR FREEFALL>>>

I have had the recurring thought that a weak dollar would at some point put a floor under US RE market. Foreigners would move in and purchase with their relatively stronger currencies. This effect will probably be more profound in the CRE and Multifamily sectors. If this is the FED's plan though it is a huge gamble IMHO.
