The pipe cos. like MVK, LSS, NSS are the first to benefit from the drilling pickup. BHI reported a nice uptick in active rigs this week. Pipers are showing strength. I picked up glbl again today. I think it's bottomed. It's also trading at about p/e 11 with projected 2003 nos. With NG pricing, i expect serious drilling activity to move much higher this summer.

So what would be the likely kind of catalyst for VTS to start moving? Iraq damaging the formations that hold their oil reserves or something like that?

Something like that would make a seismic company hot over-night I would think.

Otherwise, it seems like the E & P companies believe this current spike in oil to be too short term for them to engage in increased activity.
