I'm not falling for that nonsense. Like I said before, I don't care if the rich get a tax break or not. In fact, if it forces government to be more fiscally responsible, then so be it.

My point about the "wealth tax" is that the income tax is all about taxing the accumulation of wealth, not the wealth itself. If you want to screw over the rich, tax their wealth, not their income. Income is the very vehicle that makes poor people rich, especially those who just graduated college with a load of debt and landed successful jobs. (I'm speaking from self-interest here, but I hope you understand.)

And in the end, realize that I'm not arguing for a wealth tax. I'm arguing against this mentality of "screw the rich," because often it punishes the honest, while the crooks still get away with their millions.
