Have the Iraqis asked a present day Lafayette to come to Iraq and overthrow Saddam?

BTW, Lukoil had its contract with the Iraqi government cancelled, but was replaced by another Russia oil company.

I say this as an aside since it does not change the tenor of your original statement about war with Iraq being for oil as charged by anti-war protestors.

One hitch however, is that Russia is not leading a charge on Iraq but conducting business legally.
