The Dem. criticism of Pickering could be considered nefarious if by objecting, they somehow get to put a Dem. in his place but we both know that isn't about to happen.

They don't hope to get a Dem, they just hope to avoid confirming conservatives.


Indefinitely? I would venture to say that's impossible.

Its too bad that the GOP has to look for a Machiavellian plot line rather than consider their nominee may not be a good one.
