just wanted to pass along the positive experience to everyone here...

Thanks....I have one as well today. A fried that I talked into buying a computer a couple of years ago (Win98) brought his machine to me this morning because his Outlook Express no longer worked.

I first installed tauscan and caught 2 trojans. I then installed AVG (he had mcafee but of course his virus defs expired two years ago) and found 15 viruses which were cleaned. Then I installed Spybot and it took over five minutes (mine usually takes a minute and a half) trying to gather all the crap to be cleaned. This boy had been to too many porn sites judging from all the sex-this and sex-that cookies. He had 1726 cookies planted on his machine. I next installed ZoneAlarm and he's back up and running fine. All these programs were found due to this thread and it's members.

tc :-)
