I agree with you that it was a pretty savvy move but it does bump the sticker price for Rhapsody an additional 10% and will increase dilution, albeit marginally. I disagree with you that it "guarantees" that the project will be completed. Based on the size of the carrot, it must be a particularly aggressive deadline. I also think that Brocade is not listening to the market. The market wants vendor interoperability while Brocade insists on developing a proprietary system. This product they're developing will only work within a Brocade fabric. A potentially fatal mistake in my opinion. Regardless, I think November is too late anyway.
