I'd root for the US Forces... and the Iraqi civilian population hoping that both will suffer as few casualties as possible.

This type of thinking on the rise will influence those reluctant governments. Do you see it this way too?

In any case I enjoyed watching the speech live on C-SPAN. But probably it is only impressive if followed in full length which I doubt many Europeans were able to do: it started at 3 a.m. local time.

An interesting follow-up on C-SPAN was a students' discussion of the SOTU at High Point University, North Carolina.
