I totally agree with the prominent group that took out 2 full page ads in The New York Times on Monday and they are telling our government 'NOT IN MY NAME'...

Curious if you know what you are agreeing to....they seem to equivocate 9/11 with the Gulf War I, Panama and the Vietnam War. They also seem to come out against our attack of Afghanistan.

I never got the impression that you are an outright pacificist but that seems to be what the "Not in our Name" organization aspires to.

Until that's resolved, the best we can do as citizens is what other nations are doing: focus on homeland protection actions, protect ourselves against foreign terrorists and our own government. By not acting, Democrats and independents have allowed a juggernaut to develop that uses terrorism to control of all elements of national power, sucking the lifeblood out of the economy, creating more enemies around the world.

Because of my work I know that even within DOD there are true public servants working to maintain actual national defense, and preserving a record of events, the real and the contrived.

Meanwhile, the Bush Black Hole has started to expand on the internet - a website has been "burned" by DOJ for articles critical of Bush: www.voxnyc.com is off the air, however there are mirror sites. To read the original, you have to use google, and cache. Here's an archived copy: nyc.indymedia.org
