I'd guess dividends might be limited in some way, either outright by a max limit or indirectly by being included in AMT, or in some other off-setting way.

(Someone is going to have to pay more for government spending and the war. I just assume it will be me - I can't imagine why it wouldn't be, no matter what or how taxes are supposed to be reduced.)

I am saying that it's my opinion that commercial property REITs (that I've owned) might have trouble maintaining FFO numbers to support their dividends. If the primary reason people own these REITs is for dividends, these stocks could decline further and stay down.

In any case, I believe I see better opportunities elsewhere.

I'm still holding some REITs (e.g. MLS) and several REOCs. (Mrcjmoney has a thread that lists some of these real estate operating companies.)

If you are seeing specific REITs that look good to you now, please mention them and I'll certainly take a look-see.
