AVG question:
I just spent from 9:30 this morning until now, 2pm, troubleshooting with HP on a 3 in 1 printer/scanner/copier. From the time I installed the software and hooked all up the computer never made communications with the unit - it is a USB. We tried everything under the sun including removing the software three times and reinstalling it, downloading the software from the inernet (just in case the software it came with was corrupt), wasting my money and buying another cable (to make sure it wasn't the cable) - I even called my computer company thinking that I never used the USB before and maybe it didn't work - that wasn't the case because I plugged in another USB device from my other computer and it recognized it right away. Anyhow, HP has come to the conclusion that it is the actual device that is faulty and suggested that I return it and get a new one.
The question I have is ...when we were troubleshooting, one of the customer service reps asked if I had anti-virus software and if I did to disable it. I have AVG and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to disable it. Is there a disable option on this software?
