Those who watched the speech were more likely to be Republican than Democratic, which is typical in polls of those who watch such speeches. Pollsters say that those who like a president are more likely to tune in.

So, which is it?

The first sentence would tend to indicate that Democrats don't watch the president makes speeches, which would be consistent with my informal poll that tells me that Democrats aren't particularly knowledgeable about important events.

The second sentence would indicate they only listen to the president when it is a liberal speaking.

On second thought, both sentences DO lead to the same conclusion: Liberals are clueless.
