Ken Lay a "mere acquaintance" of Bush? Try his #1 benefactor for many years, the guy who used corporate headquarters as a Bush campaign office, who lent Bushies his jets, paid for the innauguration, who went hand-in-hand with Bush on energy deregulation, who contributed many millions to Bush over the years, who helped create GW Bush. In exchange, Bush and Cheney looked the other way as Enron was fleecing consumers in 2000-2001, and Ken Lay remains a free man despite being the most heinous white collar criminal in history. Can you think of anyone bigger? Or dont you consider the Chairman and CEO responsible for his company? You think he was out of the loop? LOL

As for Terry McAuliffe, if he sold his stock while it was high-priced he was just lucky. If he held it would probably be worthless. Bush Sr. also got a chunk of Global Crossing stock for making a speech for them once. Did he sell at the top? I don't know. But on Enron, it's a typical example of the Bushies being the stove that calls the kettle black. Like pointing out Senator Byrd used to be in the KKK to try and deflect the fact they have ten times the closet racism Democrats have.
