that is the point. Intel is not alone at that.

this issue was discussed on and off for years now. Either it is 5 or 4 or 3 makes very little difference

Excuse me but this "over compensation" stuff been going on for a lot longer than that. It just took the last 3 years to expose it and get the shareholders (bagholders) attention.
Of course it's not just Intel. I distinctly remember arguing with Paul Engel about Michael Eisners 40 million compensation. Engel said he was "worth it".
Oh Yeah....
