cosmic, re:we don't have proof. Saddam's own records show he had 19,000 chemical warheads. Military documents claim they used 16,000 on Iran. Where are the missing warheads? Not to mention the very fact they document their weapons sort of proves he had them. It's Saddam's job to prove he has no more, that he destroyed the remaining warheads and the industry that created them in the first place.

Because, try as we might, we don't have proof. If there was proof, we'd release it - I don't believe that stuff about "ruining our sources" because EVERYONE knows you can image something the size of a large rock from space and they've had a lot of clear weather for the last 12 years... I realize you are an engineer and so am I. I worked in the space imaging area for 10 years. You can't look through solid objects (no X-ray vision like Superman) and you would have to know when and where to look.

Cataclysmicfart: I don't believe that stuff about "ruining our sources" You don't believe it because you haven't got a clue how the intelligence business works. But, it is quite a credible statement. Moreover, why should we show the iraqis what we know about the nasty stuff they have hidden...??? So they can move it and hide it again? Ever hear that saying about how it is better to keep silent and be thought a fool than open your motuh and remove all doubt. It applies to your post.
