Suppose he forms an alliance with the Saudis? Or just takes the country, with Europeans SCREAMING at the US not to even think of intervention. What then? He's sitting on 3/4 of the known oil reserves. He is the Germany of HIS region. He can beat up his neighbors if everyone looks away. I'd hardly call not going to war with Iraq appeasement. Right. It's the opposite of appeasement. If the UN decides to go in again we should go. Why the H should a bunch of tin horn African and Asian dictators decide what we do?
