I may be naive, but I'll ask anyway. Why don't we fly the U2's? Did we have the USSR's permission to do so in the 50's? Are we flying them and this is just a point of diplomacy? I know I'm missing something here and will appreciate anyone's help.

America is not the only country that has satellites in the air.

I would not be surprised if another country's satellite images are made public to refute or support our Government's statements on Iraq.
