Tax cuts spur growth at a time it is needed. You'd like to tax America into a severe recession?

then why doesn't the Republican COngress use restraint now that they control the Fed Gov't?

Excellent question. They talk the talk but don't walk the walk. The DEMS and GOP both spend (our money) like shopaholics that just won the lottery. A billion here, a billion there, every day is Christmas with these clowns. The only fiscal difference between the parties is that the GOP seems to have some clue, at times, that wealth needs to be created before it can be confiscated from the taxpayers. The DEMS seem to think that $$'s grow on trees.

The people who yap about Lay and Enron and corporate malfeasance don't seem to realize that the federal government makes them all look like pikers when it comes to theft. Enron, et all, is like a kid shoplifting a chocolate bar in comparison.

Solution: Budget cuts plus rescinding Bush tax cuts. Painful budget cuts too. All those things Bush just promised, forget about it. We can't afford half of them.

Let's see, what don't we REALLY need and what can we do? SDI, all corporate welfare, Crusader weapon system, put caps on Medicare (ouch), stop war in Iraq somehow, troops out of Europe, Japan, South Korea and Central America, price freezes on medical care, luxury taxes on expensive items, sin taxes on liquor and marijuana (if they legalize it which they wont), taxes on gas guzzlers, line-item out any pork, limits on our court system (ouch), limits on highway construction (ouch), no help for illegal immigrants -- come to think of it none of this works without taxing the rich the way we used to. The numbers just aren't going to add up. And the GOP wont tax the rich so it looks like a complete disaster to me. Bill Clinton where are you? John Kerry HELP!
