That's what they said when Clinton raised taxes in '92, didn't quite work out like they predicted, unless of course they were predicting long sustained economic growth with low inflation, interest rates, unemployment, and shrinking deficits.

The link you wish for between economic growth and taxes just isn't there. Look at the history of the business cycle. It doesn't correlate with tax policy, certainly not the way you want it to.
