LR: On Ruckyser's program a week ago, Chaarles Cliggott said he expects earnings to surprise to the downside during 2003. The wildcard now are domestic sleeper cells that pose the danger of spectacular homeland attacks in response to any Iraq war. Any major such success could take a huge chunk out of our economy. I see no evidence that this danger will disappear for some time. Perhaps there will be trading opportunities, but I fail to see how the conditions you describe will produce a sustainable bull market. P
