First, you can say it, but that doesn't make it so. Prove it.

Second, and more important, this wasn't about blocking right-wing judges. This was about liberal Senators attempting to grab power that the Constitution provides belongs with the president. Period.

Extremists judges shouldn't be allowed in, period

You may feel this way personally -- although I'm certain you aren't quite so adamant when we're talking about liberal appointees.

The reality is that the Constitution gives the president the sole authority to make these choices, not the Senate.

The Senate's role is intentionally limited. I think it is likely history will remember George Bush's renominations as crucially important actions in preservation of the president's Constitutional prerogatives -- despite liberal Democrats' such as Schumer's and Clinton's attempts to subvert it.
