Excuse me? SO I don't have to hear about Carter's recession and stagflation? Do you remember WIN (Whip Inflation Now) buttons? The history of the clueless is very long. It continues on this thread today.

Leave Grey Davis alone. He's working hard. And nobody else could get this problem fixed quickly without pain. Not even that genius Bill Simon. Davis is a also frigging moderate, so quit treating him like he's Tom Hayden. You're just sore because he whupped your boy Simon despite the energy crisis ripoffs. But give Davis a break. If the Houston energy cabal had stormed and looted your state for 20 billion you'd be scrambling for revenues too. And like I said, Texas has almost as bad a problem now, Bush has a worse one and deficits and debt do not recognize political parties these days. They're everywhere. Accept some responsibility for this problem for the GOP. if Bush had stopped his Houston ole boys from the ripoffs California would have saved many billions. But remember, he told us the energy crisis was "market driven". Yeah right. Just like the S+L debacle. Really market driven.
