Carlyle recently bought a major bank in South Korea. Reportedly, Bush Sr. called Junior after the NK fiasco started and told him to cool it. But he had another reason other than Carlyle profits. He knew rattling NK's cage was not smart and invited disaster. Same point of view expressed by Dick Lugar and many others in the Republican party who are not neo-conservative super hawks (ie: chickenhawks).
