I have no firm impressions on the area except that a well placed assassin could take care of Sadam so he is obviously not a real threat.

Perhaps the threat of invasion and $35 oil is what everyone wants because a war will see it dip to $15. The infrastructure for Iraq's oil is falling to pieces and everyone wants a piece of that work. 911 is an excuse for a full scale onslaught that could be accomplished with a pea shooter.

The new dictators and princes will want new palaces and of course the resource is there to generate the cash they will require to hire western firms to design and construct. The cycle will go on happily until the resource is depleted and then a new interest in camels and horses will occur.

I think if you see more oil producers forward selling and hedging production you will know the time is at hand and the only thing left to do will be short the market and then immediately go long again.
