I have no firm impressions on the area except that a well placed assassin could take care of Sadam so he is obviously not a real threat.

But he has pretty good security. Its hard to get an assassin very well placed to take out Saddam. Also even if you take him out the next person might not be better.

Look what fun we could have if we joined the EU.

British and other EU farmers now have to give their pigs toy to play with, or face fines of 1,000 pounds and three months in jail.

No mention of whether they are required to provide toys for their children.

Hmmm. Wonder whether they put their children in with the pigs and solve two problems at once?

Iraq's infrastructure may be falling apart, but I don't think there will be a bunch of companies clamoring for a piece of the work mainly due to the instability of the region. Who wants to invest millions (billions?) in infrastructure in an unstable area?
