Think of the patience that a being that is well over 6,000 years old has. He could create a deception that unfolds in a hundred or even several thousand years and have the patience to keep perfecting it. He's had 2,000 years to sew disinformation into the Church and into Church doctrine. There are so many religions. That keeps everyone confused and going in the wrong directions. Now he is uniting everyone under one all inclusive religion that will worship him. Except the Christians won't follow. The wheat that is. The chaff is a different story.
