I wouldn't be so sure.......early word is Powell's evidence isn't that strong. We shall see tomorrow. All they have to do is win over Americans. They don't care what the UN does and what the ROW thinks. American so called interests take precendence over all else. The UN will come out destroyed simply for not towing the line, Arab countries will probably see tremendous unrest and may topple to Islamists, local economies will be shattered...but hey, American will shall be uphepd. The administration will have created the impression of safety, at least until the seeds germinate, then we will reap the crop of this madness. Al

Ted Re.. wouldn't be so sure.......early word is Powell's evidence isn't that strong. We shall see tomorrow. Well, it is tomorrow, Powell has given his speech; it sounded pretty good to me. Most notably to me, Powell connected Saddam to Al Qaeda, and the ricin attacks on UK and France. Plus there was the part about gas experiments on prisoners. I think France and Germany will be alone in their protestations. If France uses their veto power to marginalize the Un, when almost everybody else in NATO agrees with the US, then France itself will have made the UN insignificant.
