There are more trees in America today than at the time of Columbus. There'd be even more-but your anti-humanity pseudo-scientific enviro whacko heros are letting our forests burn.

The enviro-whacko movement is exposed for what it is: anti-American, anti-humanity, anti-capitalist. Now you can add anti-tree. What a bunch of phoney hypocrites YOU and THEY are...

"Whatever the age of the trees, the timber industry wants the big ones and Bush is letting them go for it"

Again, 30" is not that big. Also, what do you think houses are made of? It is wood btw, and small trees don't make good lumber. To have the lumber companies generate some income from larger trees to pay for the thinning of the forest is brilliant imo. But you hate lumber companies, you know NOTHING about our forests, and you are blinded by your fanatic beliefs.

Read the post I just sent to 3rd. Has a good editorial with a balanced view from the other side.

the Wild Sky Wilderness act of 2002

wawild.org

Don't be so depressed anti-AS......the local people who have their trees best interest at heart will trump any federal mandate.

Did you forget what country you're talking about again?

Well, in the meantime, I am trying to see how best to make use of the upcoming warmonger rally. Bought into some Dow at just below 8000. My guess is that it could go close to 8800 as the frenzy of war builds up.

Of course, by October this year, reality would have sunk in and the bear will take out the 2002 lows of Dow 7200. Usually the big shots sell off in April/May as they head off to the beaches, and come back from their vacations and pick up stocks at lower prices in October. The idiots will continue to hold on to their losing stocks and of course, continue to shout slogans in support of their Duh-mbya President, who is only slightly less stupid than they are.

I fear the Wild Sky Wilderness Act of 2002 will be a victim of the War in Iraq and the Bush Budget even though Jennifer Dunn (R-WA) supports the bill.
