<< Actually, Powell began at 10:30 EST, >>

No he didn't start at 10:30am. He started speaking after 10:45am, and didn't really show much until after 11am.

Regardless, zonder's response to Powell's speech was predetermined, well before Powell started speaking. It was obvious that zonder was going to trash Powell's evidence, regardless of what he presented.

How about you? Did you wait until Powell presented his case, before you condemned it?

Thanks for teaching me a new word in English, although I cannot see what is so "Vacuously, smugly, and unconsciously foolish" or "Delusive; unreal" about saying the market has seen the risk of war recede, when the USD is up, market is up, gold is down, and oil is down. While the first two might be related to a feel-good factor that might not be contradictory with a war that could win UN approval, the slide in the prices of gold and oil are unmistakable indicators of a lower risk of war.

By the way, gold continues to lose value:

12:57PM Gold extends slide after Powell ends U.N. address ($GOX) by Tomi Kilgore
Gold futures have extended their intraday plunge following the conclusion of Secretary of State Colin Powell's address to the U.N. April gold futures are now trading at $375.00, down $4.90 from Tuesday's close, and $15.60 below the overnight high of $390.80. The intraday sell-off is weighing on gold stocks, as witnessed by the 4.2 percent drop in the CBOE Gold Index ($GOX).

<< Actually, Powell began at 10:30 EST, so there is no real objection to the timing of her post. >>

Hmmmm!? What would you say, if zonder had posted even earlier than 11:04, saying that Powell's proof was BS?

A friend on SI informed me that zonder had a post saying that Powell's proof was BS, posted at 10:53am, which was only a few minutes into his speech. How long could she had possibly have listened, and still had time to get on the Internet, prepare her post, and post it?

And... Regardless, the first portion of Powell's speech was a warmup, more descriptive than evidentiary.

zonder was going to condemn Powell's evidence against Iraq, regardless of what Powell WAS going to say.

Here is it's earlier post:

One has to ask oneself, what is zonder's motivation, for condemning Powell, even before Powell had a chance to get off the ground. There is an old saying.... If it smells like a rat.......
