The downside is more then minimal. We could be stuck administering Iraq for awhile and there could be other problems. "The downside" includes all of the worst case scenarios. The chances for many of them to happen might be small but it exists.

Of course the upside can exceed the downside even if the downside is not minimal but I think you are understating the downside a bit.

That is, there is no downside. We will lose a few American military; we will spend some money. But in the process we will elminate a brutal regime, eliminate a nuclear threat, and stablize the entire region.

I suppose it's pointless to say that you are trivializing the downside completely.

The downside is minimal; the upside is huge. A no-brainer.

That's the problem......a no brain would think its a no brainer. While you do have a brain, I think you may be letting the conservative pundits lead you along.......or your normal overconfident exuberance has taken over.

In reality, it isn't a no brainer.....and that's what conservatives like you can't see. However, Powell's sees it and that's why he wasn't for going after Iraq.

Bush is not too smart. He should listen to Powell more closely.

You know Al is right.....you are obsessed with war. You can't wait to sit around the tube and watch the bombs go off.....yelling out your strategy to the generals in charge.......kinda like Monday Nite Football.
