of course it's all about oil

it'a always been about oil

Iraq invaded Iran over oil

Iraq invaded Kuwait over oil

oil is important, the world economy is effected by and dependent on oil - however, the US is not dependent on Iraqi oil

Iraq is smack dab in the middle of the richest oil region in the world

Iraq has fought, war'd over land and borders and oil rights - bullied it's neighbors - injured, killed, maimed and tortured people, including it's own people

the US has spent over 1 billion dollars policing Saddam and Iraq since the end of the Gulf War, enforcing UN mandates that were signed and accepted by Iraq

enough already

Actually we would care a lot even if Iraq didn't have a drop of oil. Now if the Middle East as a whole didn't have any oil we might not care quite as much but this really isn't about Iraqi oil.
