Ray,

I know...I always try to base my conclusions, on my own assessment. And when we talk about REAL seriousness, the ULTIMATE SERIOUSNESS, LIKE NOW, the bar IS SET so HIGH in MY mind...

Beacuse I was lied to during the Vietnam war by the "Gulf of Tonkin" resolution.. I will NEVER forget.. Especially when it comes to WAR.. And you know, the Vietnam war, IMO,
was another "resource(oil) war" because at that time, the South China Sea was thought to contain one helluva reserve of petroleum.. It didn't pan out, but what the eff, it was worth fighting for <NG>..

I know about the SOTU speech.. The aids initiative, etc.. I wasn't suckered.. I even mentioned that on SI.. I compared it to the Bush initiative for the "No one left behind education" thing which was never funded.. The aids thing was so transparent..

Anyway I post some from my education (for technical crap only), but mostly from experience and logic (common sense)..

Unlike many here who, IMO, do not make much sense,, unfortunately because they lack one of the latter TWO factors in the equation..The first factor (formal education) could be thrown out IMO when it comes to most stuff.. ..

Think "Think Tanks" with all those letters after their names and no sense in their heads.. That's why we are in this mess at this time, IMO..

Cheers,

c

I am not that sceptical to Powell's presentation. He did an excellent job. But I do have several questions:

1. Iraqi scientists must be pretty darned good, able to manufacture those many forms of biochemical agents. So many different kinds too.

2. Where do they get those mobile labs? Maybe they just rigged trucks and railroad cars. They must have pretty good suspension and ventillation systems and the cooking must take place when the vehicle is stationary.

3. Can anyone verify that it only takes one or two days to manufacture those biochemical magic powder and liquid?

4. There must be some remnants of the ingredients that go into the cooking, isn't there? There must be some leftovers of containers of the ingredients and reagents needed to cook up those forbidden stuff. How about the waste from the cookings? Any such waste from those cookings?

5. That one box of articles taken from an Iraqi scientist should be published so we can determine the merit of its contents. Oops, maybe it has a cookbook on how to make a warhead filled with nuke waste or biochem stuff.

6. I never expected the Iraqi biochemical science is so sophisticated and so advanced. Maybe I am wrong and that is not such a sophisticated science. If that's the case, Oh, Man!, I am getting really paranoid now thinking that many people can cook up such biochemical stuff like anthrax etc.
