It's all about simple profit. The boys in charge make more $$ at war than at peace. The hired think-tankers dress it up on fancy language with drastic threats, but that's the sum of it. If there's no enemy, create one. Centralized political control, in the old style, demands it. What will eventually be realized is that there is an order of magnitude greater wealth to be made through full-disclosure and integrity, than the covert gov't-protected criminal activities. It'll take an honest President who knows enough to be wary of the criminals in high gov't office, and who's open enough about it to avoid assassination. It may come sooner, considering how out-of-control the Arrogant Ones are. There's enough digital information out there to bring down the entire administration and corrupt judiciary, if it gets airplay.

I still take the 'you are either with us, or you are against us' stand. The fact is, nobody knows what can or will be done to us in the future by war, terrorists, either from the outside such as Al Queda or from within like the nuts that pulled off Oklahoma City in 1995. I am shocked we have not been hit with anything else since 9/11. I'd like to think the 'Homeland Security' Department is doing things, but what I see coming from them is usually Politics and P.R., what do they do that any or all of the other government agencies cannot do ? And those guys in NYC want to build new towers TALLER than the ones that came down ? Have we not learned ? WHY build another target ? Who would want to work in it ? To be honest, it would not bother me, but I don't see it filling up with people or companies. Can you imagine the Insurance rates ? We live in the greatest country in the world, but we do a lot of really dumb things I just don't understand......
