In order for inspections to really work, I think we need a special inspection tool. A special thermal imager (made by Raytheon) would be well suited for some of the tougher sites that need to be inspected. Of course, Iraq probably wouldn't like this, so we should use gobs of these tools, and put each one in an M1A2 Abrams tank...

On a more serious note, there is simply no way for inspections to work if the inspectors are required to find WMD's without Iraqi help. Sure they might find the occasional chemical shell, but how many tons are well hidden (and will remain so, inspections ad infinitum)? It really is all up to Iraq to disarm if it is to happen peacefully. I think we've done all we could do to encourage a peaceful resolution. Now it appears it will only happen by force.

I have a distinct feeling Iraq will try to use some of the very weapons they say they don't have. I hope we're prepared... I also hope we're resolved to get the job done, because as ugly as it may get now, it'll only get worse the longer we wait... (look at NK)
