I think you are getting confused. I made no analogy here. I merely followed your justification for abortion to where it leads. You gave as justification for abortion the following statement:

There are already plenty of humans and no reason to add unwanted additional ones into the population.
Message 18549404

Well then, if on this basis you can kill unborn kids, you can use the same basis to kill unwanted newborns since both unwanted newborns and unwanted unborn kids exist.

It is no argument. The scientific evidence is clear that the unborn child is one of us since it exists on the same uniquely human developmental continuum on which all humans exist.

I will help you. What you must to do to logically maintain your position is point out some scientific fact that objectively declares the unborn child not one of us. Or, should you accept that it is one of us, you must then give some objective evidence as to why we might murder it without invalidating our nature. If you cannot do either of these and yet persist in your support for abortion, you then persist in supporting sheer might makes right nihilism. And this is no basis for civilization. It is sheer barbarism.

I predict, now that your task is clearly before you, you will continue fleeing the truth by continued use of intellectual dishonesty. It is a common behavior amongst modern “scientific” thinkers.

"It's strange that most anti-abortionists are amongst the most avid supporters of executing criminals, there is no consistency in the positions"

Stupid, stupid argument that I am surprised people like you make over and over. Do you understand the difference between guilty and innocent? Conservatives feel more strongly than you libs that the innocent deserve to live, and that extremely guilty people who have taken others lives deserve to die. Not a black and white situation, but it amazes me that you guys equate a beautiful and innocent baby with a grizzled murderer.

But then again, there is very little logic in most lib positions, so this should not surprise me. At least now you know what the difference is between punishing a murderer and allowing an innocent child to live.
