As usual you want to mix apples and oranges in an an weak attempt to obfuscate. I have been talking about cause and effect in a PHYSICAL UNIVERSE!

What is material is that all events within time occur after antecedent events. If time is infinite, then we have an infinite regression of events.

LOL! What is "material" is the universe. Time itself is a function of this physical universe and therefore can be traced back (utilizing cause and effect) to a beginning. This beginning must by necessity have a cause that is outside of space and time because space and time cannot precede itself. I have been saying that either something or someone, must posses the quality of self existence at some point or you have to accept infinite regression. Granted, an impersonal beginning is simpler than a Personal beginning. The simple answer is often not the correct answer. Any simpleton should be able to see that with a modicum of reflection. However, I contend that given the existence of personality and diversity in this universe, the concept of a personal beginning containing unity and diversity explains the universe as we see it far better than an impersonal beginning. An impersonal beginning can account for unity only. A personal, self existent, Trinitarian beginning accounts for unity, diversity and personality in this present universe.
