The fact that most Americans do not grasp this simple point is testimony to the lack of an informed debate about our policy options in Iraq. Fortunately some retired generals with impeccable credentials are now pointing out the hazards of poorly conceived unilateral action.

I admire your courage in addressing such arguments to this somewhat bellicose forum. Fortunately SDII has always had a tradition of respect for good data in the face of emotional assertions.
