Hi Foxlette,

What a wonderful idea, buying an antique book in every country you visit. I may have to copy that one.

And wrt this:

so, I have an entire shelf filled in my library I can't read

Hey, it beats having an entire library shelf full of volumes you can read, but haven't.

My house is filled with books I can't read, and they're all in English. "Can't read" is wrong. "Wouldn't dream of reading" would be better.

I know what you mean about shopping, though everything in one's house and on one's person has had to be acquired, so a certain amount of acquisition-activity has to be engaged in, and bargains in needed items are always welcome.

I do actively like to go to good thrift shops, but that is not "shopping" so much as it's panning for gold, or hunting for buried treasure....
